  • Does the user understand how to raise the fire alarm if required?

  • Does the facility have an emergency response/evacuation solution?

  • Does the facility have a smoke alarm?

  • Does the facility have emergency exits? Are these clear?

Housekeeping/Office Hazards

  • Is the workstation (if available) kept clean and tidy?

  • Are refuse bins available and used?

  • Are materials, tools, or other equipment stored appropriately?

  • Are aisles, entry/exit points, and emergency exits kept clear?

  • Are floor coverings in good condition?

  • Are there any noticeable tripping hazards in and/or around the facility?

  • Is there any information available for correct seating posture or manual handling?

Lighting

  • Are light fitting clean, and in good working order?

  • Is night lighting, internal and external, available for users?

  • Is there adequate lighting available for the tasks being conducted?

Traffic Management (The management of traffic movements that are directly related to the facility and the expected traffic and pedestrians)

  • Are adequate traffic signs, notices, and markings available?

Workplace Amenities

  • Are toilets available where required and kept in good condition with adequate supplies?

  • Is there a First Aid Kit available at the Workplace?
