EXTERNAL AREAS

  • Waste/ Compactor areas are tidy. No excessive odours or rubbish on the ground?

  • Pest control is in place. Fly traps has fresh glue boards and bug zappers are operational. Bait stations are secure, identified and clean/ free from cobwebs?

  • No evidence of pest activity (birds, droppings, rodent and bird nests and so on)?

  • Obsolete equipment or supplies are not being stored outside of designated areas?

  • Access to production areas restricted to designated entryways only?

  • Access directly to production areas are restricted from outside (eg. Maturation rooms, warehouse #5 and so on)?

  • Is the area maintained to the same level as defined in the 5S standards?

  • There are no safety hazards in the area?

  • In case of hazards, notify a supervisor immediately and report it through the MYOSH system.

  • Adequate storage facilities for cleaning equipment, chemicals and so on?

  • Storm water drains and waste drains unobstructed/ unblocked

  • No obsolete equipment being stored outside of designated sheds?

  • Storage sheds are clean and tidy?

  • No product/ raw materials/ pallets and so on are being stored outside the warehouses?

  • No sand piles/ stones are being stored near the embankment outside maturation rooms and warehouses?

  • Are waste containers and other containers labelled for its designated use?

AMENITIES/ CHANGE ROOMS/ LUNCH ROOMS/ OFFICES

  • Hand washing facilities are available with soap and hand sanitisers. Clean and free from rubbish?

  • Air vents and ceiling lights are clean and operational?

  • Change rooms and toilets are clean. Exhaust fans and air refreshers are provided and free from odours?<br>

  • Rubbish bins provided are clean?

  • No spare boots being stored in the change rooms?

  • Personal lockers and uniform lockers are closed?

  • Work boots are not stored on top of lockers. They should be on racks provided, in lockers or under lockers?

  • No hair nets, ear plugs, hand towels or rubbish on the floor?

  • Bins for soiled uniforms provided. Cleaned uniforms segregated from soiled uniforms?

  • Is the pest control program effective? No insects and other pests sighted in the area?

  • Lunch rooms clean and free from rubbish and clutter? Appliances are free from rust/ dirt and are operational?

  • No potential foreign matter hazards (eg. Staples, broken glass, clear plastic pens, wood, cable ties and so on) .

  • Record details of extraneous foreign matter, inform and turn over the item to the Compliance Manager immediately.

  • Is the area maintained to the level defined in the 5S standard?

  • There are no safety hazards in the area?

  • In case of hazards, notify a supervisor immediately and report it through the MYOSH system.

  • Offices are clean. Desks are tidy and free from clutter?

MAINTENANCE WORKSHOP

  • No rubbish, parts or equipment on the floor?

  • Workbenches are tidy and free from clutter?

  • Staff correctly attired in clean uniforms with ear plugs and safety glasses?

  • No swarf, fillings or off-cuts on the floor left unattended?

  • No product containers used for any other purpose?

  • All chemicals are stored and labelled correctly. Labels are legible.

  • Storage areas are tidy and free from clutter?

  • No wire, tape or string used to secure equipment?

  • All lights are shatter-proof and operational?

  • Hand wash facilities are available, clean and free from rubbish?

  • Pest control program is effective. No insects and pests are sighted.

  • Is the area maintained to the level defined in the 5S standard?

  • There are no safety hazards in the area?

  • In case of hazards, notify a supervisor immediately and report through the MYOSH system.

  • Storage ares are tidy and items are not stored on the floor?
