Scene Safety

Has the candidate assessed the scene for safety?

Patient Response

Is the patient alert?

Is the patient responding to voice?

Is the patient responding to pain?

Is the patient unresponsive?

Airway

Has the candidate checked the Airway (with consideration to C-Spine injury if appropriate)

Breathing

Is the patient breathing normally?

Call for Help

Did the candidate call for help?

Chest Compressions

Is the hand position correct?

Are compressions at the correct depth?

What is the rate?
Ventilations

Has the candidate sequenced the ventilations correctly? IE 30:2

Do the ventilations make the chest rise and fall?

Do the ventilations take 1 second?

Sequence

Is the candidate managing the scene, sequence and sequelae?

AED

Has the candidate followed the instructions of the AED?

It is safe to touch the patient whilst the shock is being delivered?

It is safe to shock an overweight patient?

ROSC

Does the candidate recognise signs of life?

Does the candidate manage ABC appropriately and keep flat where possible for 10 minutes?

Does the candidate carry out an accurate handover?
