Aircraft ground handling turnaround audit

  • Are the Ramp team on stand before arrival? Are the team wearing the appropriate PPE?<br> <br>Has a FOD inspection been carried out prior to aircraft arrival?<br>Arrival/Departure check list sheets obtained?

  • Is the stand clear of GSE and are the engines switched off and parking brake applied?

  • Is all equipment free from FOD?

  • Has the AVDGS SafeDock activated in a timely manner? Has the aircraft docked under full supervision by the AVDGS operator?

  • Are the aircraft engines spooled down anti-collision beacons turned off before any of the Ramp team approach the aircraft?

  • Is the aircraft chocked and coned as per airline requirements?

  • Is an aircraft pre-arrival check conducted for any aircraft damage?<br>Aircraft met with headset or hand signals given for chocks in?

  • Positioning equipment brake checks 50ft & 10ft, appropriate speed observed?<br>Use of a banks person where applicable (2 Meter 6 foot rule)?

  • Passenger steps correctly positioned with stabilisers deployed, Pawl locks fully extended in locked position? The hydraulics depressurised to allow the full weight of the steps to rest on the locks?

  • Baggage Belts driven in Straight guided by a banksperson? Boom in the lowered position? Boom raised when stationary (guided)? Boom positioned below hold sill away from the fuselage? Wheels aligned straight & chocked? Baggage belt loading, belt not positioned inside the aircraft hold?

  • Is a pig deployed to guide passengers into the terminal building; before passengers are allowed to disembark?<br>Are passengers monitored at all times, and guided around any obstacles?

  • Is the Airbridge put on the aircraft safely, and any safety devices deployed??

  • Is the GSE serviceable (Red/Green Card)?<br>Are unattended vehicles seen with engines switched off?

  • Do all ramp agents avoid stepping between trailers?<br>Do Ramp agents avoid driving under the wings?<br>Do agents close vehicle doors when driving off?

  • Does the Team leader have the offload instructions, and is the inbound load restrained correctly?<br>Does the inbound load match the LDM/CPM?<br>Yes

  • Have all holds been checked including those that have been reported as being empty?<br>Does the Team leader have a LIRF before loading is permitted to commence?

  • Is a clear exit maintained for the Aircraft re-fueller?

  • Are all locks & stops raised (Widebody) are all nets correctly fastened up?

  • Are the correct manual handling techniques observed?

  • Did the Aircraft Dispatcher have all the relevant manifests & flight paperwork prior to aircraft doors closed?

  • Were the correct cabin door closure observed?<br>Were the Airbridges removed safely and parked correctly?

  • Is all GSE removed with the use of a banks person where needed?

  • Are cones removed after the removal of GSE? Including third party equipment?

  • Is an aircraft pre-departure check completed after all equipment has been removed?

  • Connection of the aircraft push back tug correct?<br>By-pass pin inserted, towbar connected, aircraft tug connected?

  • Is the pushback conducted safely, at walking speed?

  • Is the disconnection on completion to the aircraft pushback correct?<br>Chock placed in front of aircraft nose wheel?<br>Towbar disconnection correct?<br>By-pass pin removed?<br>Headset removed & panel closed where applicable?<br>Aircraft chock removed?

  • Was the aircraft tug completely clear of the aircraft before the clear to taxi signal given?

Third party activities

  • Is any third party activity observed on the Ramp free from unsafe practice?
