Balcony Post Completion Inspection

20% of each balcony type must be checked to ensure installation follows the requirements of Construction Alert 51 (CA51) for Bolt on Balconies. All other structural elements must be checked during the inspection of all metal work installed which is deemed a risk.

Does the balustrade move more than 25mm at 1100mm from FFL when force is applied?
Is the top cap more than 1100mm from FFL?
Has the correct packing been used?

Other observations

Is there any gaps greater than 100mm?
Is there any finger traps less than 10mm?
Are the finishes in a good condition?
Are there any visible signs of rust?
Are signs of components warped or twisting ?
