Check Male Toilets Check the following for: Floors • All hard floor surfaces must be free from debris, clean, dry and free from stains, marks or dust. • There must be no evidence of any accumulation of slurry of soap residues or other cleaning agents. • Floors must be safe and not slippery. Some slight scuffing may be apparent, but the applied dressing must be complete and intact, without any evidence of powdering, discoloration or build-up. • In addition, there should be no evidence of scum, grease, hair and scale, and all floors should have been disinfected, as a part of the cleaning process. Walls/Doors • All walls, partitions, skirtings, dado rails, covings, radiators, pipes, vents, grilles, doors, door frames, fittings, glass panels and sills must be free from debris, marks and dust. • They must be clean and dry, with no evidence of residual cleaning agents. In particular, they must be free from finger marks, verdigris stains, runs and cobwebs. Furniture & Fittings • All furniture and fittings must be free from debris, stains, marks and dust. Fittings • They must be clean and dry with no evidence of residual agents. • All sanitary ware, including showers, shower heads, sinks, wash hand basins, WC bowls, seats, covers, hinges, tops, urinals, brushes, toilet roll holders, tiled surfaces, cisterns, handles, chains, pipes, supports, stands, surrounds, splashbacks and vanity units must be free from scum, grease, hair, scales, dust, soil, spillage's and removable stains. • In addition, all surfaces will be disinfected as a part of the cleaning process. • Mirrors must be clean and free from smears. • Soap Dispensers must be filled and be operating correctly, with clean nozzles and the external surfaces must be clean, dry and free from smears. • A sufficient supply of toilet rolls, soap, paper towels, should be provided. • Towel cabinets must be clean, dry and free from dust marks and smears with clean towels fitted. • Showers replenish towels and bath mats etc • Waste bins must be empty, clean and dry inside and out, free from dust marks or smears and replaced in their original locations.
