Ladder Security Overview

Recently there was a brief delivered by the Health and Safety department and the company that that supplies us with the racking system for the Volkswagen Caddys.
The brief advised that all three points of security MUST be used at any time when the vehicle is in motion or left for prolonged period of time.
These three points of security being used is a mandatory update and one that will take effect with immediate predudice.
Rhino Bar Security

Your vehicle is equipped with a Yellow security bar that hinges into place and locks the ladder securely in place on the roof of your vehicle.
This bar must be adjusted so that it is touching the relative rung of the ladder holding it in place whilst the vehicle is in motion or prolonged period of time.

Web Stap Security

Your vehicles are equipped with a web strap at the rear of your vehicle. This is to be used to secure the rear of your ladders to the vehicle.
This strap needs to be secured at any time when the vehicle is in motion or stationary for a prolonged period of time.

Lockable Security

Your vehicle is equipped with a lockable security chain attached to the rear of your ladder rack.
This lock needs to be used to provide an additional security point for your ladders when your vehicle is in motion or is stationary for a prolonged period of time.
The chain needs to be looped around the ladder rung and locked securely in place.
