Inspect around and under the boiler or hot water cylinder equipment for leaking water.

Make sure the area around the boiler is unobstructed and free of materials that may cause obstruction.

Check temperature readings and/or pressure readings to make sure all are within a designed range.

Closely watch for any error codes or service codes on the display panel if at all applicable.

If you notice any error codes, jot them down and pass them the maintenance manager to follow up with the service contractor.

Make sure the boiler flue termination is not obstructed or blocked with debris, ice, or snow.

Inspect any incoming air opening for blockages.

Listen closely for any unusual vibrations or noises from the equipment.

Examine the relief valve discharge pipe and boiler relief valve for any noticeable signs of leakage or weeping.

Investigate the condensate drain line, PVC fittings, drain system, and drain trap for any types of blockages if the system is a condensing boiler.

Check hot water cylinder is heating up and there is hot water at a temperature of at least 50°C within 2 minutes from a tap in the property.
