SITE ESTABLISHMENT, SECURITY & WELFARE

  • Welfare Facilities<br>- Checks on the toilets, washing, drying room, canteen facilities, noticeboards etc.<br>- Are facilities compliant for number on site?

  • Site Security Arrangements<br>- Perimeter boundary sufficient and of a standard which will protect the site from trespass?<br>- Has early security provision established to cater for the number of operatives and planned activities?

  • Pre-Construction Notifications - have all been contacted and made aware of planned works?<br>- Local emergency services<br>- Local schools and community groups<br>- Any additional notifications required subject to local planning and building standards?

SITE SIGNAGE, COMMUNICATION & EXTERNAL PRESENTATION

  • Site Signage<br>- All Cruden Building branded and site warning signage clearly on display around the site, site entrance and boundary and all well-presented and tidy.

  • Site Newsletters<br>- Have these been issued around the local community, informing of site works, duration, site contact numbers etc.?

  • External Site Noticeboards - All on display with site-specific and relevant information, including:<br>- A.E.D. sign<br>- Environmental Targets<br>- Out-of-Hours & Emergency Contact Numbers<br>- Progress photos<br>- Site Newsletter

  • Site Tidiness<br>- Including external presentation, overall impression of the site and condition and tidiness of the compound facilities.

SITE CONTROLS

  • Environmental SPO’s<br>- Tree preservation orders<br>- Scientific interest.

  • Ground Conditions<br>- Evidence of escape of ground material off site e.g., mud on roads.

  • Water<br>- Locations of storm and foul sewer drains are known and identified?<br>- Appropriate precautions are taken (e.g., covers on drains); and<br>- Evidence of run-off.<br>- Are there any discharge consents?

  • Spillage Response / Handling & Storage of Fuels, Chemicals<br>- All tanks bunded and stored safely?<br>- Appropriate chemical storage e.g., oil, paint etc?<br>- Evidence of equipment available for dealing with spillages.<br>- Awareness of procedure for dealing with spillages.

  • Waste Segregation, Recycling, Storage & Disposal <br>- Extent of waste segregation undertaken on site.<br>- Recycling plan in place.<br>- Mini skips being used on site.<br>- Skips clearly identifiable.

  • Atmospheric Emissions / Noise and Vibration<br>- Control systems in place?<br>- Level of dust on site<br>- Levels of noise / vibration on site<br>- Levels of smoke / fumes on site
