  • Clause 21.5(a) of the Children’s Services Award states “An employee responsible for the preparation, implementation and/or evaluation of a developmental program for an individual child or group of children will be entitled to a minimum of two hours non-contact time per week. During non-contact time, an employee will not be required to supervise children or perform other duties as directed by the employer.” As an Elephas Education policy, if an employee is not offered their allocated non-contact time they shall be offered this time as Time in Lieu instead.

  • As a general rule of thumb our benchmark for wages to revenue percentage is between 50% and 55%. There are a number of factors that can affect your overall wage figure so please leave as much detail as possible if your WR% is not within the ideal range.

ACCOUNTS & DEBT COLLECTION

  • Have all families been sent an updated statement from Kidsoft this week?

  • A weekly account statement should be sent from Kidsoft each Monday morning showing a detailed account for each family.

  • Have you followed all the steps in the Elephas Debt Management Procedure?

  • All families should be sent ‘Debt Letter One’ initially via Kidsoft communication. Only after contact has been made by yourself and payment has still not been received should you proceed to the next debt letter. Once the family makes contact with you, a ‘Payment Plan’ should be drawn up to ensure regular weekly payments are received to keep the child’s account current. Please refer to the attached Debt Management Procedure for reference.
