  • This Weekly WHS Inspection Checklist is to be completed by each Site Manager for each Estate or Project/Wholesale housing site they work on. Any hazards or risks identified in this weekly inspection is to be recorded on this document and then sent to the Building Management Assistant and relevant EHS Manager.

1. WHS Documentation

  • 1.1 Do all sites inspected have an up to date Site WHS Management Plan?

  • 1.2 Have all workers on the site been inducted by the Site Manager or signed themselves into the Site WHS Management Plan before they commenced work?

  • 1.3 Do all lots inspected have site WHS signage appropriately displayed?

  • 1.4 If any high risk work is being conducted on the estate have the workers signed a Safe Work Method Statement and is it site specific? (List high risk works occurring)

2. Hazards

  • 2.1 Is the site secure via the provision of temporary fences (or similar)?

  • 2.2 Is the site conditions/housekeeping adequate?

  • 2.3 Amenities available for workers (toilets, lunch rooms etc)?

  • 2.4 Environmental issues on site not adequately controlled (sediment fences)?

  • 2.5 Work at heights?

  • 2.6 Ladders on site (industrially rated)?

  • 2. 7 If scaffolding is on site, is it fit for purpose and has a scaffold tag or sign off document been provided?

  • 2.8 Plant and Equipment on site is appropriate (power tools, hand tools etc)?

  • 2.9 Trenching and excavation is adequately controlled?

  • 2.10 Electrical safety? (Testing and tagging, leads on ground etc)

  • 2.11 Impalement hazards?

  • 2.12 PPE being worn appropriately (e.g. Hi vis clothing, eye protection etc)?

  • 2.13 Mobile Plant issues addressed (public and vehicle separation, daily log books completed)?

  • 2.14 Any issues with unwanted animals on site?

  • 2.15 Hazardous Substances on site (Safety Data Sheets provided etc)?

  • 2.16 Any other hazards not previously identified?
