Inbounding

Model Layout - Inbound

  • Incase of AutoSorter - All MUs received at LM are sorted at L3.8 level (5% Tolerance for manual Sorting)

  • Incase of AutoSorter - All MUs have chute number labelled on the MU as per L3.8

  • Incase for AutoSorter Packages,Inbounding is done on MU level via scanning each package along with checking each package for damages

Last Mile Hub (same facility)

  • Inbounding is done on package level via scanning each package along with checking each package for damages For z

  • In case of LH receiving is given on a physical manifest to LH driver

  • In case of any damaged package the package is sent back to SC in trolleys/pallets and email is sent to SC

  • All packages received are inbounded on the same day and FIFO maintained incase not on same day.

  • In case of dual address, it will be up to the facility manager’s discretion to decide whether to deliver packages from his own hub or transfer the package to relevant hub via LH. In case packages are moved to another hub, proper LH procedure should be followed. An email should also be sent to the relevant LM or SC.

Last Mile Hub (other facility)

  • Inbounding is done on package level via scanning each package along with checking each package for damages

  • Packages are received through LH in sealed MUs

  • Incase for AutoSorter Packages,Inbounding is done on MU level via scanning each package along with checking each package for damages

  • Receiving is given on count of MUs on the transfer letter to the LH driver

  • All packages received are inbounded on the same day

  • In case of any damaged package the package is sent back to SC and email is sent to SC via LH

Package Handling- Inbound

  • Boxes/carton/package is not kept on floor and is properly stacked on pallets

  • Fragile packages must be kept according to the correct orientation.

  • No throwing of any sort of package into trolley/carton from distance

  • Sacks are not dragged on the floor

  • MU's are being stacked on pallets properly with no threat of falling down.

  • LEDs are stacked properly on pallets and according to correct orientation

Sorting

  • Area-wise sorting is done based on the last 4 digits of the Port Code.

  • If any mis-sorted package has been received at the LM Hub, it will be up to the facility manager’s discretion to decide whether to deliver packages from his own hub or transfer the package to relevant hub via LH. In case packages are moved to another hub, proper LH procedure should be followed. An email should also be sent to the relevant LM or SC.

Sort - Model LAYOUT

  • Does the Indoor staff place each L3.8 MU in front of Sorting racks before they are fine sorted by DH?

  • All racks & individual shelves have L4 with port codes pasted on the racks

  • Packages of L3.8 MUs are not mixed with each other

  • Chief DH makes runsheets & puts all packages in DH Bins

  • All DH Bins are labelled with individual DH names

  • No DH Chief and delivery hero enter in hub operational premises cordoned off with a fence

  • Bins are allocated to each DH for route-making purposes?

Package Handling- Sort

Outbound

Outbound - For Non Model Hub

  • At the time of exit, physical packages are checked against the RS to check for any extra or shortage of packages

  • Dex hero checks out his RS Run sheet at the start of his delivery run through LEX App.

  • Dex hero calls first 5 customers customers at the start of his delivery run

Outbound - Model Hub

  • Once the outbound assistant handover the packages to DH, no further admin check takes place.

  • Are DH making routes in the sorting area? No package is sorted on floor.

  • All calls are being made through VPABX

Package Handling-Outbound

  • Boxes/carton/package is not kept on floor and is properly stacked on pallets

  • Fragile packages must be kept according to the correct orientation.

  • No throwing of any sort of package into trolley/carton from distance

  • Sacks are not dragged on the floor

  • MU's are being stacked on pallets properly with no threat of falling down.

  • Packages are loaded into the Hero's vehicle properly and with care.

Delivery

  • If its a COD order, cash is collected and customer signature is taken on EPOD and the LEX App

  • If its a prepaid order, customer name,and Signature are taken on EPOD if customer themselves receive the package.

  • If it’s a prepaid order, customer name, signature, and relation of recepient are taken on EPOD if someone else receives the package on behalf of customer.

  • If a customer rejects the package or is not available, package is marked as delivery failed delivery attempt and brought back to the LM hub.

Control Tower

  • In case of open reject package, LM hub sends an email to sort notifying them of the case

  • IVR hold reject and reschedule bins are correcly labelled

  • Correct packages are being put into the IVR Hold reject and reschedule bins

  • Failed delivery reasons are being maintained.

  • Reject tape is pasted on the Reject packages before sending it to relevant SC.

Reverse Process

  • Are MU(S) created for nearest Sort centre rather then destination portcode for reverse packages

Collection Point

  • For CP packages delivery signature is taken on the RS and LEX App of delivery hero from the CP team

  • In case of FD, email is sent to received by respective LM hub to collect the package

  • LM Hub DH collects and reinbounds the package at the LM hub

Cash Handling

  • Cash officer will reconcile cash with delivery run sheet and check the amount against the packages delivered.

  • Cash officer scans all the COD packages and updates them on LOP

  • Cash officer closes DH RS after reconciling it with the cash received
