Electrical Test Meter Inspection

  • INSPECTION TO BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED TO THE SAFETY DEPARTMENT AT THE END OF THE MONTH.

  • 1. Is the meter a class III meter

  • 2. Assure the calibration is up to date

  • 3. Inspect all tools to insure they are not altered from their original state no damage to the case, display etc.

  • 4. Insure all tools are clean and free of grease and dirt. Clean all tools if needed

  • 5. Inspect the condition of the leads

  • 6. Are the connection of the leads to the meter tight

  • 7. Do the tips show any damage or wear

  • 8. Inspect the lead insulation for damage, wear, cuts etc.

  • Remove electrical tool from service is it fails any of the above. If necessary provide explanation below
