  • Are all electrical tools and equipment inspected and tagged quarterly?

  • Are residual current devices (RCD's) used for all electrical tools?

  • Are personnel wearing the correct PPE as per SWMS requirements?

  • Are personnel using electrical tools and equipment safely?

  • Are electrical tools and equipment in good condition?

  • Are handles and guards fitted and in good condition (i.e. grinders/drills/jack hammers, saws, etc.)?

  • Are the correct disks for the job being used (i.e. grinding disk for grinding & cutting disk for cutting)?

  • Are leads elevated above ground level on non conductive stands or hooks?

  • Double adapters/piggy back plugs not used?

  • Are electrical tools and machines stored correctly when not in use?

  • Are loose clothing, jewellery, long hair and beards kept away from rotating parts?
