  • Is the door furniture secure? I.e. not excessively loose to stop its operation

  • Is the door and its frame in a sound condition?

  • Has one method of operation, without the use of a key or having to remember a code.

  • Note: Door codes are permitted where low numbers of occupants, low fire risk etc. refer to building FRA

  • The door opens in the directional of travel

  • Note: Fire exit doors are permitted to open inward I.e low number of occupants. Refer to Building FRA

  • Hinges are in a good condition (usually three per door)
