Field Checklist

  • Insure the lath at control joints is continuous - ie wired to lath.

  • Insure the lath is discontinuous at expansion joints.

  • Insure scratch, brown, and finish coats are applied per manufactures recommended thickness.

  • Insure that the drainage plane is properly integrated with the adjoining flashings, membranes, and sealants.

  • Insure that kick-out flashings are not sealed.

  • Insure that moisture levels are measured, recorded, and are consistent with manufacturers recommendations before applying subsequent coats of material.

  • Insure that bottom of stucco system is the specified distance above grade - per code.

  • Insure that all penetrations are adequately flashed/sealed prior to covering.

  • When completing the finish coat - insure that an entire elevation is completed at the end of the day - interruptions may cause differences in color and texture.
