  • Check to ensure all food products have been removed from assigned equipment and are stored away appropriately before begining

  • Sweep and remove any debris in assigned area

  • Check to ensure there are no loose obstacles on top of equipment

  • Unplug equipment from power sources

  • Are there any identifiable electrical hazards

  • Notify the person in charge to ensure safety before proceeding

  • Remove any other wires or obstacles that would interfere with moving equipment

  • Carefully pull all equipment away from walls allowing access for cleaning and any floor drains that are present

  • Is there any damage or identifyable issues with equipment

  • Does this pose an immediate threat to the health or safety of others

  • Do not proceed until notified

  • Begin by cleaning, the top, sides, front, back and bottom of equipment with approved cleaner ensuring to remove all buildup

  • Remove any residuals left from cleaning (I.e. smears, fingerprints, smudges)

  • Prepare mop bucket with hot water and floor break at a ratio of 5:1

  • Use mop to generously apply floor break on soiled areas

  • Use the scrub brush and/or grout and tile brushes to clean and remove any debris

  • Clean walls drains and any lines behind equipment

  • Use your supplied water source to lightly rinse away debris

  • Squeegee the water into the drains being careful not to clog drains

  • Ensure all areas have no standing water or excessive dampness

  • Ensure drains are free from debris and perform a flow test to check that they are functioning correctly

  • Place all equipment back in its original place

  • Continue these steps where necessary with remainder of assigned area
