Scope of Work

  • Scope of Work

    Please follow the below scope of works for various installations, dependant on what is presented on site;

    Dedicated Circuits - disconnected at the distribution board(s), cabling removed where possible to first detector. Where cabling cannot be removed, feed at first detector terminated in blocks and placed in Chocbox

    If the smoke detectors were:

    Wired from the local lighting circuit - safely isolating the circuit at fitting before removing the cabling to the smoke detector points. Remove detectors and bases. Where cabling cannot be removed, terminate in blocks and place in Chocbox

    The above would support a Satisfactory report rating as per NICEIC

Condition of Site

  • Condition of circuit on arrival

  • Is Fire Detection wired as a dedicated circuit?

  • Has circuit been disconnected from DB?

  • Please ensure feed is removed from board and terminated at first fitting in termination blocks and connection box

  • Detectors are being fed from local circuit? (eg lighting?
