The tyre fitters are to audit each circuit and appraise the effect on tyres, they are authorised to shut circuits down if deemed necessary. Complete the INITIAL INSPECTION assessment by rating each criteria out of 0-2 (2 being Good). If any areas are POOR they are to be rectified immediately. If they are not fixed immediately, the circuit is to be stopped. FAIR areas are to be rectified as soon as possible. Once all rectification is completed, the circuit must be re-evaluated by completing the POST INSPECTION Section of this form.

Dig Area

  • Rough floor, spillage on dig floor, soft spots

  • Trucks backing into the face at 45 degrees

  • Trucks climbing dig face

  • Water/ rocks on the floor

Ramps

  • Spillage on the ramps

  • Soft spots

  • Off cambered corners

  • Ramps in excess of 10 degrees

Haul Road

  • Long runs (exceeding TKPH) or high speeds

  • Haulroad condition - rough , spillage and soft spots

  • Off cambered corners

  • Trucks cutting corners and on bunds

Dump Area

  • Rough floor, spillage on the dump floor and soft spots

  • Backing over previous dumped loads

  • Backing up to windrows squarely

  • High speed cornering, screwing the front steer tyres
