CATEGORY " A " FAULTS

Machine must not be operated before the fault is rectified or approved by the maintenance supervisor.

  • Fluid levels : oils and coolant

  • Steering

  • Emergency Steering

  • Service and retarder brakes.

  • Emergency & Park Brake

  • E- STOP

  • HORN , Alam systems, & gauges.

  • Cameras & Backvue.

  • Seats & seat belts

  • Two - Way radio.

  • Lights : head , work , flood & beacon

  • Brake , tail & reverse lights

  • Indicator & Hazard lights

  • Fire extinguisher & suppression system.

  • Tyres , rims and wheel nuts

  • Levels are the Responsibility of the operator and must be checked and then reported to the supervisor before operating.If you can't access the fluid level : oils and coolant from the ground floor then a service man for your area will need to be advised to check this before you operate your machine.

CATEGORY "B" FAULTS

Authorisation by a maintenance supervisor is required before operating machine.

  • Leaks : engine , coolant & driveline.

  • Leaks: steering, brakes & hydraulics.

  • Leaks: air.

  • Grease system.

  • Engine air filter indicator & dust bowl.

  • G.E.T

  • Undercarriage.

  • Work equip. Wear, Play , Pins , Damage l.

  • Windscreen , Windows & Mirrors

  • Air-conditioning & Fans Blowing.

  • First aid kit present and stocked.

CATEGORY "C" FAULTS

Machine can be operated. Report fault on backlog & report to your supervisor

  • Asset I'd number : present and legible

  • Fuel level

  • Machine damage : panels , cracks.

  • Ladders,steps & hand rails

  • Catwalks & lighting

  • Water canon

  • Radiator clean : free from debris.

  • Covers & Gaurds: present & closed.

  • Operations manual present in cab

  • House keeping
