  • The pedestrian gates need to be checked for beams internally as well as externally.

  • The mag lock plates are on a metal angle plate which protrudes and is a high risk to injury, especially children due to the height, the gates should have been manufactured to incorporate the magnets and plates internally rather than being welded or bolted on the surface.

  • The vehicle gates need an external stop so they cannot be forced open by pulling from the outside.

  • Most of the doors have issues with delay in the magnets releasing, the magnet plates were adjusted whilst on site, but this is not the issue but a temporary fix, they need to be installed correctly or residents will be locked in and there will be more ECO call outs as in the past.

  • The CCTV and controls in the intake need unswitched spurs and not 3 pin plugs in sockets.
