Installation

  • Gear

  • Are the installed displays found to be level? Take a picture showing a level on top of the display (or below display if top of display is unreachable). Verify that the measured variance is no more than +/- .3 degrees from absolute 0.

  • Are all security features on mount engaged?

  • Ensure that all cabling has been dressed behind the display and that there is no risk of cabling becoming loose.

  • Are all devices behind the display properly attached (no hook and loop velcro)? <br>- Take pictures of any devices that are visible BEHIND the display.

  • Have labels been attached to all cables behind display?

  • Is image properly filling the screen (no over scanning, correct aspect ratio)?

  • Have the displays been wiped down and had all plastic film removed?

  • Is cabling properly supported behind video wall to allow displays to be popped out and pushed back without pinching cables?

  • Verify that the rooms lighting is not causing washout of the projected image.

  • Have the projector cables been properly dressed (neat and not over bent) and labeled? Is the projector power cable dressed neatly to the ceiling and over to the outlet (if applicable)? <br>- Take a picture of the projector showing the cables correctly dressed . - Take a close up picture of the cable labels.

  • Is the projector cleaned and free of fingerprints or dirt?

  • Is the projection screen damage free?

  • Is the projection screen clean and free of scuffs and grease?

  • Does rack have Immedia service plate installed?

  • Is service port connected to network switch or processor?

  • Has the rack harness that comes from the wall been covered with snakeskin and is there enough length to be able to service the rack. - Take a picture showing the harness service loop and the snakeskin.

  • Spot check multiple terminations to ensure standards are being met. - Take a picture of a few examples of the terminations found within the rack. - Pay close attention to Phoenix connections (heat shrink), Category cable connections and soldered terminations. - Take photo of terminated cables with boots on them. - Take a photo of Phoenix (captive screw) terminations that have a zip tie strain relief have in fact been zip tied. <br>- Verify every DB-9 has a shell installed.

  • Ensure all power bricks and small devices have been secured in some fashion to the rack so as to avoid falling out the rack (no adhesive velcro).

  • Have all cables been labeled? This includes power. <br>- Take a picture of random cables showing affixed labels.

  • Verify that all AV cabling within the rack has been secured with only Velcro. Only power cabling is permitted to be secured with zip ties. Take a picture showing that Velcro has been used.

  • Verify that the rack has been cleaned and that there are no wire clippings, saw dust or paperwork left behind. - Take a picture from far enough away that shows the cleanliness of the rack.

  • Take picture of the FRONT of the rack to show the elevation and organization of the rack.

  • Take picture of the REAR of the rack to show the elevation and organization of the rack.

  • Take a CLOSE-UP picture of EACH of the pages available if the interface is an iPad or Crestron TP (this includes power on/off pages, help pages, ETC). - If the interface is a button panel of any type, take a close enough picture so all button labels can be clearly read.
