Slabs storage

  • Special order wood slabs are protected from dirt, dust, and damage,

  • Slabs are stored with cardboard covering them in warehouse for protection.

  • Slab area is organized and in proper bin locations.

Jamb quality inspection

  • FJ Raw Splits are clear of blow-outs, or product defect?

  • Primed Splits are of good quality with no noticeable defects?

  • Veneered Jambs are not showing signs of splitting or delaminating.

Casing

  • FJ Raw casing is clear of blow-outs or visible defect?

  • Veneered is clear of splitting or bubbling in the veneer and appears to be sound?

  • Top of door to top of hinge 6-8 7"

  • Top of door to top of middle hinge 6-8 = 36-1/4"

  • Top of door to top of bottom hinge 6-8 = 65-1/2"

  • Top of door to center of bore 6-8 = 44"

Norfield 5000

  • Any obvious issues that need to be addressed or suggestions by the operator.

  • Staples are being placed properly at head jamb, flush.

  • Nail securing unit is hitting at strike on both door and jamb, with proper exposure?

  • Casing is applied with proper number of staples per leg, head? 9 per leg.

  • Cardboard is being applied with proper number of staples?

  • Unit is being handled properly to avoid damage between shop and loading?

  • Proper information is being applied to unit for identification?

Custom Slab Line "Magnum"

  • Hinge bar stops are tight and secure.

  • Sanding wheel is properly smoothing edge of beveled slab.

  • Date last sanding wheel change?

  • Overall maintenance appears to be sufficient?

  • Any obvious issues that need to be addressed or suggestions by the operator.

  • Morticing of hinge pockets is clean and tight to hinge?
