  • Inspect all timber beams prior to the installation guardrail attachments. (BEAMS SHALL BE CONFIRMED TO BE FREE OF ANY CHIPS, CRACKS, SPLITS OR SEPARATION AT JOINTS.)

  • Verify the dimensions as it relates to the elevation(s) of the working deck and T.O.S. prior to installing. Ensure that K-Guard Extension Barriers are available for use as needed.

  • Verify field conditions allow for safe installation of K-Guard System.

  • Verify that sufficient corners and extensions are available for use and on site.

  • Verify that no one is or will be working below in area(s) where the K-Guard system is to be installed.

  • Verify area(s) where K-Guard will be installed are clean and clear of debris prior to installation.

  • Verify that each K-Guard panel, components and hardware are in proper working order prior to installation.

  • Verify K-Guard support posts are 94.5" on center (MAX)

  • Verify that K-Guard System is recessed 4" (MIN) from edge of working deck.

Installation

  • Are all workers utilizing proper FPE and PPE and tethering during installation of K-Guard System?

  • Are all Restricted work areas and controlled access zones in place and clearly identified?

  • Did you ensure that all unenclosed perimeters have been protected after installation?

  • Inspectors Signature - To the best of my knowledge, work inspected or witnessed was in accordance with all applicable Codes and Standards, Approved Project Submittals, Plans, Technical Specifications and Applicable Workmanship provisions.
