Production Documents

  • Have all production documents been completed, check all questions to ensure all have been answered correctly eg has tank been pressured test, tank has been checked internally, etc

  • Over fill protection valve has been tested and signed off?

Tank - General Check

  • Correct Tank size as per Sales Order

  • Correct ID plate - Class 1/2 (Diesel) or class 3 (Flammable)

  • Correct information on ID plate - Length, width, height, SFL, capacity etc

  • Correct ID Plate - T and P Series - Transport Only When empty

  • Check ID Plate - Cubes - Transport in accordance with the ADG code

  • If tank is unleaded, check for flammable decals, electrics, ID plate, and emergency vent for primary tank.

  • Is there a CSC & UL plate on the tank, check information is correct.

  • Correct dip stick for the tank size, check SFL, does it match the SFL decal and ID plate) check dip to ensure that no diesel has been left in the tank.

  • Does it contain a interstitial dip?

  • Correct caps and decals in the spill box? Ensure they have been greased and tighten fully

  • Are all the caps/plugs on the roof thread taped, tight and labeled correctly?

  • Interstitial vent (TIV) is present and all bolts are secured. Bolts for cap must allow for vent to move and the bolts must have at least two threads thru. Must contain springs.

  • Manway/s contains a gasket and all nuts secured correctly?

  • Caps on the RHS, have all caps been secured to prevent it falling off?

  • Hose mast has all correct parts eg swivel, hose bund, S/S wire clamps etc?

  • Check ball valve/s operation, flow direction of back check/s etc NB: All ball valves must be lockable

  • Check all drains must have plugs.

  • Check for loose bolts, studs, fittings, hoses etc. Are they tight?

  • Check Fill point. Is the cam lock tight, has a chain and decal stating vent must be installed before filling?

  • Vent pipe supplied and secure. Check diameter and cap is present and correct? (Is vent cap a threaded or is a slip on needed?)

  • Scamp supplied, set and secured correctly (150 mm for T & P series, 80mm for T10's)

  • Check operation of all doors, access points, ladders etc. Are they fully operational?

Decals

  • Decals on roof including spill box and platform as per decal diagram?

  • Decals on front of tank/DGM/etc correct as per decal diagram?

  • Decals on right side of tank/DGM/etc correct as per decal diagram?

  • Decals on rear of tank/DGM/etc correct as per decal diagram?

  • Decals on left side of tank/DGM/etc correct as per decal diagram?

  • Decals in bundled area correct as per decal diagram?

  • Fill set and SFL decals correct as per decal diagram and tank type?

  • Pipeline decals on and direction is correct?

  • Any extra decal's needed are on and in the correct position eg TLS probe here, TUPR/TUSA decal, etc?

  • Shipping decals on large tanks and DGM's. Not always necessary, check to see if they are needed if none on the tank, answer YES if all ok

  • Does tank need any customer requested decals eg asset numbers, logo etc, are they as per customers request?

Electrical

  • Electrical box labelled correctly eg 240v, 12v etc

  • All electrical conduit secured and neat and sealed from the weather?

  • E stops operate correctly and have rain/hose shield installed?

  • Overloads set to correct amps?

  • Lights/extra's as per sales order fitted and working correctly?

  • Fuel management system fitted? Cabinet keys supplied? FMS supplied and correct amount?

  • FMS tags supplied and has correct amount as per Sales Order?

  • FMS system need an antenna? Is it fitted and secured ready for transport?

  • Electrical checklist has been signed off in production documents

  • Electrical Certificate of Conformity (For 240/415volt only) has it been filled out & signed and is available for placement in customers dossier/electrical box?

  • Electrical schematic supplied in electrical box?

  • Electrical box key supplied?

Wet testing

  • Check pumps are correct type as per sales order?

  • Is the tank unleaded? Is the pump suitable for unleaded?

  • Check the direction of flow on the pump. Is it correct?

  • If Tank is wet tested, ensure all paper work is filled out and flow rates are correct as per sales order, are the flow rates correct?

  • Pump package should contain vacuum and pressure gauges. Are they present and in the correct position?

  • Are all pressure readings in the wet test report in the correct range? (If they are excessive check with engineers)

  • Nozzle type and size as per sales order?

  • Check hoses, are they correct diameter, length and are they the correct pressure rating?

  • All serial numbers have been recorded for pumps, motors, gearboxes etc on production paperwork

  • Are all fittings tight with no leaks present.<br><br><br><br>

  • Are thermal reliefs needed, are they installed? Check direction of relief valves and are they the right pressure as per P & ID? Are they all correct?

  • Thermal relief/s must contain ball valves. Are they fitted?

  • Check all gaskets are correct size? Outside of gasket must rest against all studs.

Flow meter/s

  • Are the flow meters correct type as per sales order?

  • Meter display is in litres?

  • Is flow direction of the meter the correct way?

  • Does meter have handle for resetting meter?

  • Does meter accumulate?

  • Is meter resettable?

  • Has meter been calibrated? If no, state reason.

  • Have the bowser/s or TCS meters have air elimination plumbed back to the tank, hoses must not slope downwards!

Paint

  • Check general condition of the paint finish, is it satisfactory? Ensure there are no bare patches.

  • Colour of tank as per sales order

  • Micron test needed?

  • Micron test completed

  • Paint thickness in spec?

Included parts

  • If Linking kit is needed, ensure all parts are there, flexi's, hard pipe, studs and gaskets?

  • TLS2 probe needed, is it packed correctly?

  • Warning signs are in place eg TLS2 probe is inside tank remove before filling.

  • Stairs and walkways, are they packed and have correct nuts and bolts etc?

  • Packing list completed, correct and signed

  • Packing list x 2 given to Linda for TRD

  • Email sent to Linda/Marnie/Lila that there is extra's to go with tank and the size of the pallet etc.

Final Check

  • Tank packed correctly and everything is secured ready for transport.

  • General comments.

  • Add media

  • Transtank folder supplied?

Sales Order complete and ready to be signed off
