Scope: This procedure applies when wiring all new houses or sheds

Do you have all PPE Required?

• Steel capped boots

• Hi-vis clothing

• Dust mask if required

• Hearing protection if required

• Safety glasses if requried

• Working at heights (ladders & scaffold)

• Cuts & scrapes from nails & sharp brackets

• Slips, trips & falls from leads or untidy work area

• Use of power tools - electrocution & trips

• Manual handling of large drums of cable

• Ensure ladders & scaffold are in good condition

• Ensure ladders & scaffold have level footing

• Take care when mailing & drilling

• Watch out for builders brackets & nails

• Keep work area tidy

• Be aware of other tradesmen on site

• Use manual handling techniques when lifting drums of cable

• 1. Keep work area tidy
  2. Nail on stud brackets & drill holes
  3. Set cable drums on roller and calculate cable route
  4. Run cables as required by customer and at AS3000 standards
  5. Tape all cable ends up
  6. Ensure all cables are at correct points & mark with permanent marker
  7. Complete fit out sheet
  8. Pack up all cables & tools and clean area
  9. Complete jobtracker, including all materials
  10. Tidy work area
