INTRODUCTION This report was formed in relation to site water test carried out at above contract in accordance with CWCT TN41 (Technical note), more specifically ‘’ Hose Test ‘’ intended for permanently sealed joints. The system comprises of Curtain walling and windows, incorporating visual units and glazed in Panels. Testing was carried out to Curtain walling and windows as per marked up drawings issued by CMS with the following results recorded. TEST PROCEDURE – CWCT HOSE TEST Working from the exterior starting at cill level, the test section was selectively soaked along the transom line horizontally. Ensuring a minimum of ten passes is performed along each test length (1.5m) for a duration of 30 seconds per pass, for a total duration of 5 minutes per 1.5m. The test rising progressively upwards via the intersecting vertical joint to the next horizontal joint while maintaining a distance of 300mm. The water was applied using a brass nozzle that produced a solid cone of water droplets with a nominal spread of 30°. The nozzle incorporates a control valve and pressure gauge. The water flow to the nozzle producing 22 +/- 2 litres per minute. While ensuring the nozzle is held perpendicular to the test surface. An observer on the inside of the test area checked for any leakage / water ingress and noted if any occurred. After completion of the test, inspection for water ingress will continue for 30 minutes.
