Audit Questionnaire

  • Are the daily crane inspection sheets completed for the area?<br><br>Walk through the audit area and check each inspection sheet for each crane. If you have trouble locating the inspection sheet for a crane please note what crane and an improvement idea to relocate or make the inspection sheet location more visible.<br>This audit is meant to hold the employee using the equipment accountable for performing daily inspections that ensure the safe operation of their crane. If a crane inspection hasn't been completed on a crane in use, please ask the employee to complete the crane inspection prior to continuing work.

  • Chain, sling, and lifting device inspection.<br><br>Randomly select and inspect slings, chains, or other lifting devices in the area. Look for any significant tears, frays, missing tags, cuts or other unsafe conditions. Lifting devices and slings must have a load rating tag attached.<br>This audit is to ensure that employees have safe lifting devices, and any lifting device deemed unsafe is removed from service. If a lifting device is in questionable condition ask the employee. If a lifting device is unsafe to continue using notify a floor leader and ask that they replace the item.
