Section I - General site checks

  • Fittings off the floor and stored on shelf, gaskets and bolts wrapped, ends protected. Clean pipework working area

  • No chemicals stored near the pipe storage area

  • Work areas kept tidy and appropriate signs used

Personnel

Section IV - Plant and equipment

Quality

  • Suitable ITP for pipework installation

  • Client specific work permits in place

  • Pipes installed at the correct depth / gradient

  • Any deviations from construction drawings signed-off by designer/ client

  • Minimum distance between joints as per design and specifications

  • Recommended pipe bedding and surround in place as per client standards

  • Apparatus installed as per client specification ( washout, covers, marker plates )

  • Thrust blocks and pipe restraints as per design

  • Use of lubricant before torqueing the bolts

  • Flanged joined records available and in use

  • Calibration certificates for torque spanners in date

  • Evidence of Buried Joint Protection (Denso)

  • Approval for using electro-fusion obtained

  • Evidence of the installation markings done on the pipe

Section VI - Testing and Commissioning

  • Swabbing equipment on site and correctly used

  • Approved ITP for pressure testing pipelines in place

  • Test Plates are kept bagged and stored safely

  • Acceptable source of water being used for filling and flushing the main
