General Area Condition

Look for tripping/slipping hazards, condition of handrails, steps, fence, broken tiles, area cleanliness, etc

  • Are there any Hazards Mentioned above, if yes specifiy

Check all equipment for condition and accessibility: life ring, pool safety rope, (backboard, first aid kit if necessary)

  • Check each equipment carefully and take pictures if possible

Emergency Phone

  • Ensure that phone is working and emergency instructions are posted if available. (If necessary)

Pool Rules - no life guard on duty, no running, no diving rules, no glass ware etc

  • Check that pool safety rules notice board is posted and rules are clearly visible and unobstructed.

Lighting - During evening hours, ensure that lights are all working, including underwater lights

  • Ensure there is sufficient lighting in the pool if neccasary. (Note that individual villa pools should have sufficient lighting, as for the Hotel it is not neccasary since pools are not open for guests at night.)

Depth Signage

  • Ensure depth signs are clearly visible
