Metal Detector Fail Safe Challenge Test

Reject Confirmation
Insert test piece into product and pass down line, remove sample before reject mechanism and confirm that line stops. -
Air Pressure
Run metal detector and turn off air isolation valve to confirm line stops. -
Search Head Failure
Turn off metal detector belt and sit metal object (test weight) under head unit. After approx 15 secs the message "self check Magnitude Error" comes up on screen. After about 2 secs this message is replaced with "Balance Fault" which stays on screen until the object is removed and the belt is turned back on. -
Back Up sensor
Run metal detector and cover sensor prior to M/D head for 5 secs to confirm line stops. -
Photo Electric cell pre search head.
Insert test piece into leading edge of product and pass down line to and confirm that the product has been rejected into the reject bin. -

Insert test piece into trailing edge of product and pass down line to and confirm that the product is rejected into reject bin. -
