  • ALL checks are to be carried out in accordance with the following steps:
    1. All emergency stop buttons checked and are in good condition with no visible damage to them.
    What should happen if any damage present - Isolate Machinery and report immediately to Maintenance for repair,
    2. Isolation switches in good working order.
    What should happen : When isolation switch is in the off position check power is off by pressing start/restart button, machine should not start.
    3. Fixed guards are in place, undamaged and access to moving parts is denied.
    4. All interlock guards/light curtains checked and in good working order.
    What should happen: when interlock opened machine should stop. Machine should not restart until start/restart button pressed.

Pre Start Up Checklist

  • Start up bread equipment from the console:

  • Oven Burners

  • Tin Conveyors

  • Discharge Conveyors

  • Depanner Vacuum

  • Prover Humidity

  • Prover Heat

  • Oven Steam

  • Ensure Scales are Level

Step 1

  • Check Mixer 3+4 interlocked grain hoist gates X 4

  • Check Mixer 3+4 interlocked dough skip gate

  • Check traversing hopper interlocked gate

  • Check interlocked gate access to platform area

Step 2

  • Check Intermediate Prover 3 +4 Light Curtain

  • Check Intermediate prover 3+4 Interlocked front panels X 2

  • Check Intermediate prover 3+4 Interlocked mesh panel X 1

  • Check Intermediate prover 3+4 Interlocked back panels X 2

Step 3

  • Check Moulder air hose

  • Check moulder 3+4 interlocked front perspex panel X 2

  • Check moulder 3+4 interlocked back panel X 2

  • Check moulder 3+4 dough depositing conveyor mesh guards X2

Step 4

  • Check square take overs interlocked doors X 5

Step 5

  • Check lidder interlocked doors X 4

Step 6

  • Check interlocked gate on lid storage area

Step 7

  • Check final prover castel keys X 2

Step 8

  • Check oven infeed and discharge light curtains

Step 9

  • Check delidder interlocked doors X 2

Step 10

  • Check depanner interlocked doors X 2

Step 11

  • Check pan stores interlocked gate

Workplace visible checks

  • Conveyors free from obstructions

  • floor dry and clean (free from spills, water and oil)

  • No wires dragging on the floor

  • No loose or damaged switches

  • No damage to control panels

  • No exposed or taped cables

  • Plugs and sockets intact

Depanner

  • Are all cups intact ?<br>If there are cups missing they need to be replaced before starting.

Manual Alarm Checks

  • Prover Infeed Alarm - loadbar

  • Double dough alarm

  • Prover outfeed alarm - unload bar

  • Oven infeed alarm load bar

  • Oven outfeed alarm Unload bar

  • Mixer drain is shut

  • All hoppers are zero

  • Mixer moves to half and full tilt and moving to correct side

  • The light curtains are to be checked at the beginning of both shifts and to be checked by both operators on shift

Oven Light Curtain

  • Is Light Curtain Operational ?<br>Does alarm sound when you break the beam ?<br>If no you must add a comment and contact Maintenance.
