Safety Signage

  • 3.1 Are all chemical storage areas clearly labelled?

  • 3.2 Is signage displayed in plant rooms and chemical handling areas promoting the use of required PPE?

  • 5.11 Is the nature of the concourse surface intended to be slip resistant?

  • 5.12 Does the concourse appear to be maintained?

  • 5.13 Is the sufficient drainage of the concourse?

  • 5.14 Is equipment stored on the pool concourse positioned to allow safe traffic flow?

  • 5.15 Is the concourse width, without obstructions or fittings, 3.0m or greater?

  • 5.16 Is the concourse free of any trip and entrapment hazards? i.e. equipment anchors, or other fittings, or are such trip entrapment hazards reduced through management?

  • 5.17 Are general power outlets (GPO's) located at least 3.0m from the pool(s)?

  • 5.18 If GPO's are located within 3m of the pool, are they a minimum of 1m above finish surface?

  • 5.19 If GPO's are located within 3m of the pool or outdoors, do they have waterproof covers?

  • 5.20 Are change rooms easily accessible?

  • 5.21 Are change rooms lit to a level of 80 lux or greater?

  • 5.22 Do the change room floor and shower walls appear to be maintained?

  • 5.23 Is the water temperature in hand basins and showers no more than 43 degrees Celcius?

  • 5.24 Are there procedures for, and measures to control usage of, the sauna or steam room?
