  • Have you typed up a closing shift handover for the next team member?

  • Complete the last pool test at 9:30.

  • Check that the padlocks are properly secured on the bin bay gate and tennis court gate.

  • At 9:45, walk around the pool area, tennis court & gym and let patrons know you are closing in 10 minutes.

  • Remind people in pools to shower now or else they are not allowed later

  • Wipe down the machines in the gym and put away equipment, this includes putting the weights on the racks. We want the residents in the morning to have a clean gym to walk into.

  • Close the louvre windows in the gym to prevent bugs getting in during the night.

  • Ensure to collect any left behind personal items by residents & place them inside the lost property cupboard at the front desk.

  • Once gym is empty and tidy, turn off fans, lights & TV's.

  • If anyone is still left in the swimming pool, politely remind them that the facility is now closed/will be closing very soon and unfortunately can't shower

  • Ensure tennis court is empty and gate is secure.

  • Ensure the back gate to the carpark is secure.

  • Check each of the changing rooms to make sure no one is still inside & turn off the lights.

  • Keep doors open to toilets to air out

  • Check the upstairs toilets in case someone has gone up there. (No need if there is a late function)

  • Open protege GX & ensure that every door is locked.

  • Lock pool doors manually

  • Turn off reception monitors. Do not turn off the computer.

  • Turn off office lights and lock the door.

  • Make sure the main entrance door is set to 'lock'

  • Leave the staff key set inside the right-side drawer of the reception desk.

  • Before leaving you should be 100% certain that no one is left inside the facility. Press the green exit button to open the entrance door. When it closes, walk up to it to ensure it wont open and is secure.
