Outer

  • What product is running on the line?

  • Is all paperwork available and is spec sheet signed and countersigned where required?

  • Is the label correct? Check against label matches paperwork. Check barcode print for defects.

  • Does the shrink wrap cover the whole outer? Check the wrap is aligned, square and covering the whole outer.

  • Is the tray formed correctly? Check corners are Square with no white visible. Is glue visible and is it visible on the carton.

Retail Pack

  • Is the box formed correctly? Check for visible marks, creases and tears

  • Is the top of the carton square with no edges protruding?

  • Does the tear strip remove in one piece? Take 2 cartons, rip 1 from the top and 1 from the bottom

  • Is the coding correct on the carton? Ensure product code matches the pick list. Check the code is legible and correct.

  • Are all boxes the same colour and a they of the expected standard? Check colour against other cartons. Check the print is correct.

  • Is the carton glued correctly? Glue spots sufficient to seal the box, no excess glue.

  • Is there tea dust in the carton?

Teabag

  • Are there any damaged teabags? Check or rips, holes, tears and splits.

  • Is the paper aligned? Check for narrow seams and paper overhang.

  • Do the bags separate? Check for 3 perforation cuts and pull apart a stack.

  • Is there any obvious signs of leakage? Seals etc
