  • Explain to the clients, upon arrival, what is going to happen.

  • Explain lift off hinges

  • Privacy latches, show how to open from the outside.

  • Show how windows lift out to clean if the client installs fly screens.

  • Show how kitchen draws lift out and the cutlery insert lifts out for cleaning.

  • Show how to adjust kitchen doors if any movement takes place.

  • Check all doors to show how they latch properly. Show how handles can come loose & how to attach & tighten them.

  • 3 months maint. service, covers defective workmanship & materials. Minor problems noted / forward to Metricon to be attended. 6 year building warranty.

  • Advise the clients the council / PCA final inspection etc., show a copy if possible.

  • Advise the clients of water main location / sewer IO

  • Show the clients the meter box and how the earth leakage and circuit breakers work.

  • Explain operation and maintenance required for panel lift garage door.

  • Explain about the pest control system. Show position of sticker.

  • Explain the installation of the smoke detectors (240V hard wired) that batteries are required in the event of power loss.

  • Explain some movement may occur under sinks & basins to pipe work & that it may require hand tightening.

  • Ensure kitchen / bathroom vanity bench tops are not scratched.

  • Show client touch up paint, spare roof tiles, floor & wall tiles & bricks. Explain these are for warranty purposes.

  • Explain if works are done in the roof space (ie :air-con, TV aerial) Metricon aren't responsible for any future works that may be required (eg: roof leaks)

  • Ensure that client has inspected all bench tops, basins, baths, glass and splash back for scratches, chips and marks.

  • Ensure client has inspected all windows for scratches (in accordance with tolerance and standard guide)

NOTE: ALL THE ABOVE ITEMS HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED WITH THE CLIENT. ATTACHED THIS FORM WITH PCS & RETURN TO TA AFTER HANDOVER.
