Pushback

  • Pre Departure Check (PDC) completed including checks of latches and engine cowlings

  • Main gear chocks removed when tug engaged

  • Steering bypass pin inserted

  • If applicable, wingman in full sight of driver

  • Nose chock placed in front of the nosewheel and only removed after pin and headset removal

  • Equipment disconnected in correct order (tug end first, then nose leg etc)

  • Pin shown and all clear sign to flight crew from side of taxiway when all equipment and personnel clear.

  • Tow bar reconnected to rear of tug and tug driven in forward facing position

Driving Sandards

  • Equipment used for intended purpose

  • Only authorised vehicles driven under wing

  • Vehicles driven at correct speed

  • Elevating equipment driven in lowered position

  • Vehicle doors closed and seat belts on when in motion

  • Personnel not riding on moving equipment / conveyor belts

  • No seat no ride rule followed

  • Number of dollies towed at one time within limits

  • All unattended vehicles had the engine turned off

  • Only fully serviceable GSE (no defects) used on turn round

  • Curtains closed on dollies once driven off ramp
