MAN OVERBOARD 1.Sound alarm 2.MOB on GPS 3.​Throw a ring buoy overboard as close as possible to the person. 4.​Post a lookout to keep the overboard person in sight. 5.Maneuver vessel to drop sails as needed. 6.Grab first-aid kit, 02, and AED. 7.Have crew member put on a harness with a safety line to him or her, and have him or her stand by ready to jump into the water to assist the overboard person if necessary. Maneuver the vessel carefully to pick up the person in the water. 8.If the person is not immediately located, or is in need of medical attention, notify the Coast Guard and other vessels in the area by radiotelephone. 9.If necessary, continue to search until released by the Coast Guard.

FIRE 1. Cut off air supply to fire, close hatches, ports, doors, ventilators, and louvers, and shut off ventilation system. 2 .Cut off electrical system supplying affected compartment if possible. 3. Shut off fuel supply . 4 If safe, immediately use portable fire extinguishers at the base of the flames for flammable liquid or grease fires or water for fires in ordinary combustible materials. Do not use water on electrical fires. 5. Maneuver vessel to minimize the effect of wind on the fire. 6. If unable to control the fire, immediately notify the Coast Guard and other craft in the vicinity by radiotelephone. 7. Move passengers away from the fire, have them put on life jackets, and if necessary, prepare to abandon the vessel.
