Installation Night Descriptions of Works and Points run through with store

  • On arrival at the store the MC site manager will check with the Tesco checkout manager that all tills have been cashed up and cash removed from checkouts being removed from site.

  • If 24hr trading store the MC site manager will confirm to the checkout manager which Checkouts can remain in service during the running of EOD/EOW making it clear that only the checkouts at the start of EOD/EOW can be used.
    No new signing on or signing off to take place during the running period, the site manager will declare to the Checkout Manager and Contractors when EOD/EOW has commenced and completed.

  • Where can the scissor/boom lifters be stored (Lifters will be delivered one day prior to install, Store to advise HSS delivery driver)

  • Note 1 - Ensure any de-taggers being removed or relocated are left unlocked

  • Note 2 - Central Station will need to be informed that's works are taking place within the store and appropriate alarms will need disabling i.e
    Cash Office (to enable cash tube engineers access to commission system)

  • Note 3 - Should the cash tube system have issues at time of pre-start then we will advise that a maintenance call should be logged to resolve the issues prior to install night. On install night ALS engineers will review but not necessary resolve any current faults.

  • Note 4 - Store to agree access arrangements to ensure ALS have access to the Cash Office to enable the cash tube engineers access to switch off and re-commission the cash tube system prior and on completion of works

  • Note 5 - If cash tube and cabling is underfed via trench then the store manager will need to arrange for the Rodent Contractor to carry out a check prior to installation night. If rodents or rodent waste is found in the checkout trench on install night, potentially the install will be aborted due to Health & Safety.

  • Note 6 - Store to cash up and remove from all checkouts and self scan being relocated or removed from site

  • Note 7 - Store to ensure All Cash Pods are accounted for prior to ALS shutting down the cash tube system to commence works

  • Note 8 - Store to strip down checkouts being relocated or removed prior to night works commencing i.e. Bags, Baskets, Leaflets, POS, Receipts and any Personal Items.

  • Note 9 - It is anticipated that Installations works to be completed by 07.00am and the MC will sign-off the installation and agree any Snagging with the Store SAYS Champion, the BRAG scorecard and snagging report will be uploaded to I Site Go within 24hrs on install completion.

  • Note 10 - MC will manage and close down snagging with all contractors keeping the store fully engaged with its progress.
