1. Onsite Construction Documentation

  • All Plans/Permits valid and onsite - ie. Up-to-date IFC drawings, DBYDs

  • SWMS relevant for specific site and activities

  • Excavation Permit

2. Construction Plant, Materials and Equipment

  • Daily pre-start checklists completed for all plant

  • All materials, equipment, machinery and work vehicles kept within construction zone

  • Pipes and fittings conform to spec and are in new condition (refer to std drawings SEW_PSS_004/8)

  • Min PN16/SDR11, PE 100 and 316 SS Fittings

  • Valve is clockwise closing

3. Service Location and Protection

  • All known existing services have been located and proved prior to work commencing

  • Minimum clearance maintained as per WSA 07-2007 or WSA 02-2002

4. Traffic Management

  • Traffic management set up suitably for site.

  • Sufficient traffic management and signs around excavation

  • Signs set up at all entrances towards work site location

5. Establish Environmental Controls

  • Silt fencing and traps employed where required

  • Parawebbing erected around protected trees/vegetation

6. Construction

  • Spoil stored correctly or removed from site

  • Ensure correct fittings and pit covers are used (Trafficable or non Trafficable)

  • Adequate fall from heights protection installed where required

  • Outside of pipe is scraped down and cleaned with isopropyl wipes prior to electro fusion jointing

  • No water present while welding is in progress

  • Valve shroud is compacted with crushed rock

  • Tracer wire connected to wire from bored pipe and placed in an accessible location inside the shroud

  • Isolation valve constructed as per Standard Drawing SEW_PSS_003
