Are all plants trimmed, in good condition and not obstructing any walkways?

Are all foot railings on the help and taxi desks in a fit state or repair? (Look for damage or loose fittings)

Is all safety signage in a good condition?

Fire Safety

Are fire extinguishers in place and in date?

Is the information on the fire action notices accurately displayed and in a prominent position?

Is heat producing electrical equipment in a well ventilated location? (E.g paper near computer vents)

Is the area free from excessive storage of combustible materials?

Do smoke detectors or fire alarm heads appear fully operational with no evidence of being tampered with?

Are access and egress routes clear from any obstructions and fire doors kept closed?

Are fire doors in good condition? E.g all three hinges fully attached, no holes through door, intumescent strip present all around sides and top of frame, frame secure.

Electrical Safety

Sockets Overloaded?

Is equipment PAT tested and in date? ( internet computers)

If any new electrical equipment has been purchased, has it been reported to engineering for the assets list?

Housekeeping

Is the area free of tripping hazards? (E.g cables, carpet lifting, open doors)

Is the area (inc desks, cupboards, floors etc) clean and tidy?

Is storage being kept tidy and to a minimum?

Are tops of cabinets, cupboards free from heavy and bulky items?

Is the area free from slip hazards? Are facilities available for clearing spills
