Sprinkler Drawing Information Required Checklist

  • 1. Does the proposed sprinkler system installer carry the required third-party certification to complete these works, e.g. LPS 1048 Scheme or FIRAS?

  • Please indicate

  • 2. Have the drawings to be submitted, been reviewed internally, and confirmed as being acceptable/verified by the sprinkler system designing company?

  • 3. Have the drawings been reviewed by a third-party such as the LPCB?<br>If the installer is approved to self-certify or a third-party review is not required, then please indicate in the comments.

  • 4. If applicable, have the reviews and the updated drawings, including third-party comments, been provided?

  • 5. Are there any non-compliances from the LPC Rules in the proposal and have these been listed on the drawings or in the submission?<br><br>• Including any retained existing sprinkler protection.<br>• If there are no non-compliances, please indicate in the comments.

  • 6. Has the site to be protected been physically surveyed by the proposed sprinkler company?<br><br>• If not then please do not send the drawings for review.<br><br>Is this survey the basis for the drawings submitted?<br><br>Are the drawings Construction or Approval issue?

  • 7. Is there any retained existing sprinkler protection, such as void protection?<br><br>Is any retained protection fully compliant with the LPC Rules?

  • 8. Has the sprinkler system installation been fully coordinated with new and existing services and obstructions such as ductwork, cable trays, lighting, structural beams, etc.?

  • 9. Have the drawings been sufficiently dimensioned to carry out a full review of the sprinkler spacing and location relative to boundaries and the pressure losses?

  • 10. Has a fully dimensioned section view been provided?

  • 11. Have all the ceiling features such as rafts, open cell ceilings and architectural features been fully detailed, both in section and plan?

  • 12. Have appropriate pressure loss hydraulic calculations, back to the installation control valve, been provided?<br><br>If these are not available, please provide evidence they were requested from the Building Management Company or Shopping Centre Management, etc.

  • 13. Are all storage systems and arrangements (such as static shelving, mobile shelving, etc.) detailed on the drawing both in plan and sectional view?

  • 14. Are the actual storage commodities, the actual storage height and the storage limitations included on the drawing(s)?<br><br>Does this include the :<br>• Actual type of goods to be stored with their storage categorisation, e.g. clothing, category II AND<br>• Actual proposed storage configuration and its classification, e.g. 2.1m, free standing ST1 AND<br>• Storage limitations for that arrangement based on the proposed sprinkler provision as stated, e.g. 4.1m based on 7.5mm, 260m2?<br><br>Please do not provide a generic table from the standard stating the storage configuration vs its limitation.
