Prior to works commencing

SFS Installation

  • Does the stud pattern reflect the drawings?

  • Is the base and head track not overhanging the edge of the slab edge more than 1/3 of the stud width?

  • Have the studs been installed in the correct orientation?

  • Are the studs at the correct centres?

  • Have additional studs been added for brick slip/masonry joints?

  • Has the deflection gap of 25mm at the top of each stud been maintained?

  • Are cills and heads of windows installed the correct measurements? All studs above and below windows must be installed at full height

  • Are door jambs and heads installed to the correct measurements? All studs above doors must be installed at full height

  • Has jamb reinforcement at head and base track details been installed using the correct centres and measurements as per Detail no. C16/C17

  • Have high load cleat details been followed to support structure as per Detail no. C13/C14

Fixings

  • Are fixings used in accordance with the latest fixing schedule?

  • Have fixings into the studs been added on both the inside and outside faces?

  • Have fixings into the head and base track been installed next to each stud?

  • Have 5 no. fixings been installed the vertical stud to concrete column as per Detail no. A18
