1. Access and egress

  • Access steps and handrails secure and free from damage and excessive corrosion

  • Fluids for evidence of contamination, e.g. water in oil, etc.

  • Fan and drive belt guards in position, secure and free from damage

4. Windscreen and cab windows

  • Windscreen free from cracks or scratches which obscure operator’s field of view

  • Correct mirrors fitted

8. Signs and decals

  • CE and machine identification plate displayed and legible

9. Control levers

  • All control lever decals legible

  • Operator’s instruction manual available

  • All control levers not excessively loose or tight and function correctly

  • Machine free from uncontrolled movement of implements, etc.

10. Lift capacity table

15. Bucket

  • Bucket does not roll under its own weight

  • Bucket and linkage free from cracks, damage, and excessive corrosion

  • All bucket and linkage pins, bushes, and bosses free from excessive wear

  • All bucket and linkage pin bosses free from cracks

  • All bucket and linkage pin retaining bolts in position and secure

  • Evidence of broken pins in bucket and linkage

24. Tracks, sprockets, idlers, and rollers
