2. OHS&E Requirements - Staff and contractors must abide by the relevant OH&S and Environmental requirements related to the construction works. OHS accrediation/competancy shall be adhered to as per required project, local council & state legislation/regulations

  • All OH&S and Environmental requirements completed / adhered to

  • Risk management completed for each site visit. ( JSA / SWMS )

  • Environmental practices implemented during the execution of works

  • Site induction log completed

  • Emergency plan completed for site

3. Hazard Notification - "Site entry notification must be submitted to the Telstra GOC. The GOC can be contacted via SMS on 0427 767 462. A type ā€˜Cā€™ hazard must be booked with the Telstra GOC for any 3G/CMUX/2G/1G extension work. The Telstra GOC can be contacted on 1300 652 235."

  • GOC notified of site entry at each visit (Phone : 1300 652 235)

  • GOC Confirmation - No Alarm at Site before commencing

  • All appropriate hazards approved. WINs / MOPS A STAC

4. Legacy Cabinet Check & Clean - Cabinet checks and clean.

  • Photos taken of housing before Top Hat installation. ( side, rear, front view )

  • Cabinet tilt is less than 50mm

  • Housing / site free of vegetation. (300mm)

  • Top of the housing cleaned and all dirt removed prior to TopHat installation

5. Legacy Cabinet preparation work - Cabinet preparation work prior to the installation of the ISAM 7330 Top Hat.

  • Cabinet preparation work completed as per I&C documentation

  • Rivet nuts correctly bolted

  • Cable access holes completed correctly

  • Swarf Removed

6. Strong Frame Installation with photos - Steps followed for the installation of Strong Frame on top of the RIM housing.

  • Compression foam installed. (6mm not 3mm)

  • Shims installed and strong frame level. (3mm)

  • Strong frame secured with M10 bolts and steel washer

  • Strong frame bolts tightened to 12nm Torque setting

7. Top Hat Installation With Photos - Procedures involved in placing the Top Hat on to the RIM cabinet.

  • Top Hat placed on legacy cabinet using mechanical aid. Submit picture of mechanical lift in progress

  • Sikaflex bead neatly placed between TopHat and Legacy cabinet

  • All excess Sikaflex removed from TopHat and Legacy cabinet

  • Drain plug installed with sikaflex - clear of obstruction

8. AC Electrical Installation

  • STAC Contacted 15min before commencing Power Work (Phone 1300 363 869 option 3)

  • AC extension cable with female socket installed to AC supply side

  • AC cable correctly routed from Power Compartment into TopHat

  • AC mains connection ( socket and plug ) enclosed by protective shroud

  • 230VAC warning labels fitted to AC cable

  • Earth connected and secured

9. Battery Installation

  • Battery Installation Checklist completed

  • Batteries links installed as per I&C document. (600mm Leads)

  • Batteries connections torqued to 5-7nm

  • Installed Battery tray secured with cable tie at RHS

  • Battery Temp Sensor isolated and fixed into correct position

  • STAC Contacted Alarms Cleared - Power Hazard Closed

10. Optic Fibre, Board and Cable Installation

  • Fibre optic cables correctly routed through MEC into TopHat

  • 80mm gap between existing and new O/F conduit

  • Fibre optic slack stored under ISAM 7330

  • Board / SFP type and quantity as per ALU direction / Telstra brief

  • ISAM Power and Earth connection completed - protective cover installed

  • X and C pair cables correctly connected and secured at ISAM

  • X and C pair cable correctly installed through gland - slack managed

  • X and C pair cables installed into legacy housing as per I&C document

  • Existing RIM/CMUX Cabling undisturbed

11. Commissioning

  • ISAM power up proceedure completed per I&C document

  • Mains and Battery Load Tests completed per I&C document

  • All optical links tested and optical power levels recorded

  • ISAM configured and Integrated by CDO

  • 1 Speed test completed

  • 1 modem sync test completed per installed LT

12. Labelling

  • Subrack and Cabinet label affixed as per I&C document

  • Copper cable labels affixed as per I&C document

  • Fibre cables labels affixed as per I&C document

13. DBoRs

  • All DBoRs submitted as per requirements and to standards

14. Final Inspection & Site Completion

  • All cabling is tidy and secured

  • All debris removed from the Tophat Cabinet ( dirt, broken cable ties etc )

  • All debris removed from the immedate area ( packaging etc )

  • All doors correctly closed and locked

  • All site works completed, documention completed, Matrix updated

  • GOC Confirmation - No Alarm at Site before leaving
