Track

Experience

  • Present throughout entire briefing

  • Post video hosts to cover light rules, track specifics, black flag, app and RAVs, next steps.

  • All drivers wearing correct wristbands and being checked at the Pit Lane before entering their kart.

  • Helmets fitted and checked by staff members again prior to entering their kart.

  • If applicable, all cadets issued with a fitted safety vest and properly secured. Vests to be in good condition when issued.

  • All drivers are checked to ensure they are correctly positioned, knees with slight bend when fully depressed on pedals, drivers able to comfortably reach steering wheel

  • All drivers checked for Entanglement risks. Visors are lowered to leave small air gap only.

  • Headcams issued if applicable and properly positioned to ensure a good quality video.

  • All Lights and Flags re-iterated again to ensure drivers are reminded before going onto track.

  • All drivers receive brake tests as per training, SOPs and as outlined in briefing video. Signals to be clear and obvious. Drivers re-tested and/or given support if a driver fails.

  • Marshals using flags to reinforce rules alongside the lights. Clear comms with drivers. Yellow lights for minimum of one lap, followed by all drivers stopping on reds. Full compliance or black flags issued before race is continued on green.

  • Clear and professional radio comms amongst marshals. Quick and safe retrieval of stuck drivers. Black flags issued for any driving that is negatively impacting a session

  • Communication clear, to the point, supportive and empathetic rather than too direct or aggressive.

  • Experience boards available and ready to used throughout the session. Boards used to enhance experience.

  • All drivers receive post race de-brief and are given racing tips and advice to help them improve on second race. Mentioning of memberships and options available as per mystery shop criteria.

  • Discretion of auditing Manager, if anything less than a pass then notes must be left outlining areas for improvement.
