This Training Needs Analysis (TNA) form has been prepared and should be used to assess the skills, knowledge, training, experience and understanding of legal requirements, company standards and best industry practices for asbestos removal operatives. BY WAY OF AN OBSERVATION ON SITE An observation should be carried out by a manager and for a min 1 hr period in order to evidence practical understanding of the main duties of the role, the following of procedures and the implementation of control measures. PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE WHEN CARRYING OUT THE OBSERVATION 1. Site Set up, building of enclosures and dismantling 2. Controlled Stripping Techniques 3. Respiratory Protective Equipment 4. Personal protective Equipment and Clothing 5. Transit Procedures and Decontamination 6. Cleaning and Clearance Air Testing 7. Plant and Equipment 8. Waste Management and Disposal 9. Emergency Procedures 10. Non- Asbestos Hazards 11. Roles and Responsibilities 12. Site Inspections and Record keeping 13. Management Systems and Monitoring 14. Risk Assessments and Plans of Work 15. Other (Site/Safety Specific, behavioural etc)
