Safety checking of lanyards in accordance with AS 1891
Check manufactured date and record details with photo of label, not to exceed 10 years life.
Checking lanyards conditon
Any visible cuts and abrasions to rope or webbing
Any visible cuts and abrasions to sticthing
Any visible glazing or crispiness due to friction, heat damage or possible chemical contaimination
Any visible damage due to contact with heat, corrosives, chemicals and solvents
Any visible discolouration due to chemical contaminates or prolonged ultraviolet exposure
Excessive stiffness due to overloading, possibly as a result of a fall.
Stitching, Any missing, incomplete, damaged or frayed stitching is unacceptable.
Check by look and feel
Note Positive Observations: is the equipment in good condition
AT RISK OBSERVATIONS
Note Observations to be rectified by WHEN and WHO !
Provide a sketch of the area of concern if applicable to support findings
