Fire and Electrical Safety

  • All exit doors are clear including all yellow lined areas.

  • All pull stations are accessible.

  • All fire extinguishers are stored properly and are accessible.

  • All strobes and signs are visible.

  • All electrical panels are accessible.

  • All electrical faceplates are present and intact.

  • All extension cords are: run properly, free of damage, include a grounding plug, and have no exposed wires or frayed insulation.

  • All chargers are: in good condition, stored. priperly, accessible, no visible damage to cords/plugs.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Seat. belt use - three operators at random are using safety belts as prescribed.

  • Hearing protection is being used as required.

  • Liftcages are properly secured and are being used appropriately.

  • Safety harnesses are in use as required.

  • Harnesses/Lift Cages that are not in use are stored properly.

  • Eye wash stations are intact and accessible.

  • All in -use docks have applicable restraints in place and functioning.

  • All required PPE for battery charging is in good repair and is in use or is stored properly.

Powered Industrial Vehicles

  • Safety inspection - three operators at random have performed and documented applicable inspections.

  • All parked vehicles are parked as prescribed.

  • All operators are using horns appropriately.

  • All designated pedestrian areas are clear.

  • All vehicle operators are following rules relative to pedestrian traffic.

  • Operators are not operating vehicles with wny part of their body outside of the vehicle's running lines.

General

  • All areas are free of excessive debris.

  • All freezer doors are free of excessive ice buildup.

  • All products/pallets are stored safely as prescribed.
