  • LONDON DESIGNER OUTLET SHOPMOBILITY TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USERS

    PLEASE NOTE A £20 CASH DEPOSIT IS PAYABLE FOR ALL HIRES. THIS WOULD BE RETURNED ON THE BASIS OF SHOPMOBILITY EQUIPMENT RETURNED IN THE CONDITION IT IS HIRED TO YOU.
    When using any London Designer Outlet (LDO) Shopmobility equipment, you must agree to the following conditions of use:

    1. Ensure that you have been instructed in, and understand the safe use of the equipment and do not have any condition or take any medication that would impair your ability to safely operate the equipment that is given to you for your use.
    2. Users of any equipment supplied by LDO Shopmobility do so at their own risk and London Designer Outlet will accept no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage unless as a direct result from its failure to keep the equipment properly maintained.
    3.. Users must take good care of the mobility equipment in their charge and will not leave the equipment unattended at any time, unless (scooters only) it is safely parked and the key removed.
    4. Users must not alight from the equipment until brakes applied.
    5. Users must use equipment with due care, safety and attention at all times.
    6. Users will not allow any other person to use the equipment, or carry passengers, including babies, children or pets. Users will not have pets on a lead whilst using mobility equipment.
    7. Users will ensure that pedestrians have the right of way, and will be fully aware of pedestrian safety at all times, especially when reversing or maneuvering.
    8. Equipment must only be used on pedestrian walkways.
    9. Equipment will not be loaned to anyone apparently under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that impairs their ability to use the equipment.
    10. Users must not consume alcohol whilst using mobility equipment.
    11. Equipment must only be used within the London Designer Outlet and to / from the Shopmobility Office and designated car park.
    12. Users must not hang bags or other items on the handlebars of the equipment.
    13. Users must return the equipment in good condition to the LDO Shopmobility office.
    14. Users are responsible for any persons collecting or returning equipment on their behalf (i.e. Career) and will be liable if that person uses equipment negligently, irresponsibly or in a dangerous manner.
    15. Users must advise a member of LDO Shopmobility staff regarding any incident or damage to equipment whilst in your possession. Users may be charged for any damage arising from careless or dangerous use of the equipment.
    16. Users must not use wheelchairs or scooters on escalators. Please use the lifts at all times.
    LONDON DESIGNER OUTLET SHOPMOBILITY - DISCLAIMER

    Two forms of Identification will be required for all bookings prior to using any LDO Shopmobility equipment:

    • Photo ID - valid passport, valid driving license, valid Disabled Person’s Registration Card (DPR) – We will return your deposit and proof of ID/credit card once shopmobility is returned.
    • Proof of Address (and where applicable proof of age) - driving license counterpart; recent utility bill; valid Disabled Person’s Registration documents

    LDO Shopmobility reserves the right to refuse or withdraw, at its’ own discretion, the loan of any equipment.

    LDO Shopmobility accepts no responsibility for any accidents arising from careless or dangerous use of mobility equipment. All users must abide by the Terms & Conditions of Use and adhere to these at all times.

    LDO Shopmobility equipment must only be used within the London Designer Outlet and to/from the Shopmobility Office and designated car park.

    Loan of equipment is limited up to 4 hours. Prior approval should be obtained for loan periods outside of these times.

    LDO Shopmobility – timings of access are as follows:
    Last loan / hire time will be 2 hours before LDO Guest Services closing time each day.
    All equipment must be returned to LDO Guest Services or the Red Car Park.

    PLEASE NOTE: RETURNING POLICY OF THE SHOPMOBILITY

    Wheelchair/Scooter must be returned
    by 7pm Monday – Saturday
    and 6pm on Sunday.
